The MAX Asphalt blade is designed for craftsmen who demand exceptional value without compromising performance. This capable blade features full radius undercut protection segments which provide MAX-imum durability and dramatically increase service life.

The full radius undercut segments work to shield the steel core by breaking up the stream of cuttings and eliminating the under cutting process. This reduces excessive wear at the critical junction between segments and the steel core, allowing the segments to stay intact on the blade for increased performance time; even when cutting through abrasive materials.

How to Use:

Make sure that you have chosen the proper blade that will cut the material most efficiently.

Assure that the saw blade flange, shaft, and guard are in good condition. Check the manufacturer’s user guide to review safety requirements. Blade safety tips click here 

Mount the blade in the proper rotation. Check for an arrow on the saw blade or look at the diamond segment to determine to direction. The diamond in the matrix appears as a “comet” with the head being the diamond with a “tail” following behind it. The direction of the blade follows the “comet”.

Allow the pressure of the weight of the saw to create the cut rather than forcing it. This avoids detrimental damage to the blade such as overheating, jamming, and not cutting straight.

In order to remove the blade from the slab, try to cut it free using another blade instead of puling it out. This reduces the risk of damaging the blade.

Tips & Tricks:

Start by making a very shallow ½” cut to establish a base guide.

If you do not clear the blade from the cut before the slab shifts it could pinch the blade and possibly tear off segments.
